Sunny, clear sky with cottonball type clouds. 70 degrees. The gentle breeze is cool. Perfect Idaho day! Decided to hike the non-motorized Gibson Jack trail. Beginning of trail is open fields with the wind blowing the tall dry grasses around. A gradual climb up into the valley. The fields slowly change into more forested area. Soon the sound of the stream running below the trail can be heard. Can't see it due to the trees and undergrowth. Leaving the grass fields behind, I eventually enter heavily treed areas...Aspens and pine trees. Hiked the trail to the wood bridge that crosses the stream. All that can be heard is the stream running and my yellow Lab running through the brush. Getting late time to head home....
